I am one tired girl!  I have been under the lights for two days, filming my DVD on Ganseys, and another on Stranding Techniques for Color Knitting.  Two more filming days to go... This has been a very interesting process.  I spent many hours working on the script for both DVDs as well as making samplers for the demonstrations.  I also spent a ridiculous amount of money for makeup I may never use again after this filming.  I even bought hair rollers to tame my frizzy hair for the camera.  But I think it has all been worth it. My dear friend Susan Giacomini Allan, of Essanay Films, picked me up from the airport in San Francisco on Monday.  We went through the samplers and the script on Tuesday.  Wednesday and Thursday we filmed from 9 or 10 am to 7 or 9 pm, taking time out for breaks and lunch.  The shots taken were OTS (Over The Shoulder) to show the knitting demonstrations.  We are filming in Susan's living room to create a warm feeling and environment for the set.  Her husband Mark is a camera man and her son Stef is doing the sound.   They do work for 60 Minutes, NFL games, the UN and other high powered shows.  I am so lucky to have these amazing professionals working on my wee videos!

I was so nervous the first morning, I could tell my hands were shaking and my voice was uncharacteristically low.  But I was surprised how quickly I acclimated and relaxed.  I was even more surprised at how wonderful the film looks–all those manicures paid off and my voice sounds fine even though I thought at the time that I was speaking too slowly. Today is Friday and although it has been slated as a day off, that just means no filming will occur.  The day will be full with going over the script, making sure I can put on my makeup correctly, and planning the next two filming days which will be my face to face time with the camera.  Wish me luck!
