This kit contains 4 skeins of Finullgarn, enough to make a pair for one of the three sizes (Medium Child, Medium Adult, Large Adult).  Finullgarn is made in Norway under the company name of Rauma, and is a fingering weight yarn.  It is strong, long-lasting, and will not pill. The colors included are red, dark green, gold, and white. The gauge for the mittens is 32 stitches/36 rounds/4 inches (10 cm).  To be warm, mittens must be knitted firmly!  Suggested needle size is US 1 (2.25mm) double-pointed needles, plus an optional set of US 2 (2.75mm) dpns for the sections using three colors.

The featured techniques in this project are the Braided Cast-on, Afterthought (Peasant Thumb), Working with three yarns in a round, and the Braided Cord.  The color pattern is five pages long and includes technique boxes, photographs of opening the thumb hole to create the thumb, charts, a glossary, a schematic, and a suggested album and books for further learning about the Saami culture.

Care: Handwash and lay flat to dry.  These yarns are NOT superwash.
