The Fibershed is a non-profit organization that is the educational arm of the Vermont Sheep and Wool Festival. The mission of the Vermont Fibershed is to promote local natural fiber production and processing within the state and nearby region. We support sustainable practices that honor our land resources and New England’s historical contributions to textile production. Our goal is to link producers: from farmers to finished products to consumers at all levels. The goal of the Vermont Fibershed project is to be inclusive and to be a resource both for consumers and for Vermont’s natural fiber producers.
