These gloves,  designed with gansey motifs documented near Inverness, Scotland include interesting techniques and are knitted in guernsey yarn or sport-weight yarn.

DESCRIPTION

These gloves are knitted from the cuff, which is created out of bands of Stockinette Stitch and Reverse Stockinette Stitch, to the fingertips in the round on double-pointed needles. The garment directions, charts, and Technique Boxes with photographs, and a list of abbreviations are included.  In addition, a book and DVD are suggested for further reading.

Suggested yarn: Frangipani Guernsey, Color Aran (100% wool: 240 yds/ 3 1/2 oz (219m/100g): 1 (1, 2) skeins

Needles:

Size U.S. 1 1/2 (2.5mm):  set of 5 double-pointed needles, and are available here in 6″ length or in 4″ length.

Stitch markers (m), stitch holders, tapestry needle

Handwash with good quality wool soap, lay flat to dry.
