While in Albuquerque in October, I met Christina Campbell, the woman behind World Wide Knit-In For Peace Day, which is December 21 this year. Project Peace is a knit-along from December 1-21 and Christina will supplement this with daily blog posts about peace.  I love this year’s theme, the “ripple effect”, symbolizing how one’s peaceful choices impact those around us.

Go to the blog on her website, TheHealthyKnitter.com to learn of other ways to be involved for individuals, shop owners, indie dyers, etc. The shawl pattern for the KAL is available on Ravelry for $3 and the money will go towards organizations promoting peace. It’s fine if you start after the beginning date, or don’t get it done by the end date. It is a statement of our intent.
