May: The Cowichan-Inspired Cardigan

I will be teaching my workshop the Cowichan-inspired Cardigan for Stitches at Home in 2-hour segments on May 15, 16, 22, and 23. There is such a rich variety of wonderful construction techniques in the Cowichan, a sweater developed by the Coast Salish people of Vancouver Island.

Students will learn to knit pockets, work with multiple yarns, work short rows to shape the shoulders, collar and sleeve cap, choose from a variety of closures for the front, and much more.
